I eventually came upon the idea of making a light with the two sources, one large, the other small. Today, there are any number of lighting fixtures that can be finely tuned for the amount and color of light that is required, and most of them rely upon adjusting a single source. They are designed by scientists and engineers, people who understand electrical engineering, fluorescent tubes, LEDs, and the performance of internal product structures. As a designer, I consider it my job to use form to solve problems. It is a simple idea. If you have two light sources, you can create three different kinds of light. Three attractive variations give you the flexibility to adapt to numerous scenes. Working from this idea, I began to structure a silhouette from minimal parts. The result was rather lacking in appeal, so I tried adding a bit of simple decoration to the base. It became a unique silhouette of two close friends dancing the same steps together.
